Privacy Policy
PickStyler has no accounts and no backend. Your picks never leave your browser. This page explains that in detail, and covers the third parties that are involved in serving the site.
The short version
- There is no sign-up, no login and no user account.
- Your design picks are held in your browser tab and are never transmitted to us.
- We operate no database and store no personal information about you.
- The site is funded by advertising, and our advertising partner does set cookies. That is the one place where data about you is collected, and it is described below.
What PickStyler stores in your browser
While you work through the wizard, your progress is written to your browser's session storage under a single key named pickstyler. It holds only your design choices — the hue you narrowed to, the font axes you picked, and the shape, elevation, spacing, icon and input options you selected.
Session storage is scoped to one browser tab. It is cleared automatically when you close the tab, and it is cleared immediately when you press the restart control at the bottom of the wizard. It is never sent anywhere. We cannot read it.
When you use the copy control on the result screen, the generated document is written to your system clipboard. That is a browser action between the page and your operating system; nothing is transmitted to us.
Your DESIGN.md download is assembled in your browser and saved directly by it. No copy of the file reaches our infrastructure, because there is no server-side code that could receive one.
What PickStyler does not do
- We do not ask for, collect or store your name, email address or any other identifying detail.
- We do not operate user accounts, and there is nothing to log in to.
- We do not save your generated design systems. If you close the tab without downloading, the result is gone and we cannot recover it.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal information, because we do not hold any.
- We do not send your picks to any language model or AI service. The document is produced by deterministic calculation in your browser.
- We do not currently run any analytics or visitor-tracking product of our own.
Advertising
This site is free and carries advertising to cover its running costs. Advertising is served by Google AdSense, a third-party ad network.
Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Depending on your settings and location, this may include showing ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
You can control this. Visit Google My Ad Center to manage or opt out of personalised advertising, and Google's advertising policy for details on what is collected. To opt out of personalised advertising from other vendors, see aboutads.info/choices.
We do not receive any personal information from Google about individual visitors. We see only aggregate reporting about ad performance. When advertising is not being served on a page, no advertising cookies are set by us.

The remaining fonts used in previews are served from this site itself rather than from a font provider, so viewing them does not create a request to a third party.
Cookies
PickStyler sets no cookies of its own. It uses session storage, described above, which is not a cookie and is not sent with network requests. Cookies you encounter on this site come from Google's advertising, and can be managed through the links in the advertising section or through your browser settings.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal information about you, there is normally nothing for us to disclose, correct or delete on request. The data you may wish to exercise rights over — advertising identifiers and profiles — is held by Google, and their tools linked above are the effective route to access, delete or restrict it.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with comparable law, the legal basis for serving personalised advertising is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through the controls above. The basis for processing standard server request data is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site.
Children
PickStyler is a tool for people building software and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. As we collect no personal information from anyone, there is no children's data for us to hold.
Changes to this policy
If the way the site handles data changes — for example if analytics are introduced, or the advertising arrangement changes — this page will be updated and the date at the bottom will change with it. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
